For the Applied Theatre section of N°11 of Revista TEATRO we seek to make visible two theoretical-methodological proposals developed
in recent years by former students of the Diploma de Extensión en Teatro y Educación of the Departamento de Teatro at Universidad de Chile. After a brief contextualisation of this program, excerpts from the portfolio prepared by Marcela Paz Navarro are presented, where she proposes a workshop for secondary students that addresses the ideas of memory and identity through dramatic and theatrical mechanisms. Subsequently, we present segments of the portfolio generated by Nicole Contreras Aravena in which she proposes a workshop for artists on theatricality and performance in public spaces. Both proposals demonstrate the political, social and cultural potential of applied theatre in formal and non-formal education contexts to establish praxical dialogues around individual and collective identities and practices in our country.
