Abstract

The article presents: Stories of the Prince, the Princess, and Other Characters; a pedagogical proposal for teaching family law, resulting from classroom research using the pedagogical action-research methodology. The strategy integrates the use of puppets, humor, and case studies within the theoretical framework of humor pedagogy
and meaningful learning. Humor serves as a language that stimulates divergent thinking and fosters connections among learners. Puppets animate the case study and catalyze humorous expression. The case study technique is embedded in a storyline that brings reality into the classroom by combining legal conflicts with the social context of family relationships. Students experience learning and train for legal practice in a playful environment. The strategy’s design aims to promote durable learning in an empathetic climate that enhances cognitive development and fosters student engagement in the class. From the process of constructing the strategy, a conclusion is drawn, when learning is enjoyable, one learns more and teaches better.
