Abstract

Teaching private law brings with it some interesting challenges. Taking on this activity implies ingenuity to find efficient forms of pedagogy, which allow the student
not only to understand but also to remember the information after the evaluation. This article will present the strategy of visual thinking, as an efficient methodology that
has been proved by science to help in cognitive and memory processes. Visual thinking understood as a set of tools that allow us to externalize what is in the head, uses various inputs, among which drawing or scribbling stands out. It will be shown how this methodology
is applied for the purposes of learning a subject of private civil law, specifically the subject of property and real rights, taught in the undergraduate law degree, at the
University of Los Andes (Colombia).
