Abstract

Extreme weather events —such as hurricanes, droughts, and wildfires— caused by climate change and global warming, impact the environment, society, and economy across countries and regions. Law plays a crucial role in addressing these issues by providing tools to mitigate, explain, and assign responsibility to the involved parties. Education and research, especially in economic and social rights, offer valuable opportunities to explore and develop relevant knowledge in this area.
