A massive student movement begun in 2011. Students paralyzed academic activities in order to request solutions for some outstanding issues related to the Chilean educational system, namely: financing, profit, quality of offer, equity in access and the role of the state. The paper describes these five issues raised by postsecondary students and their proposals. Additionally, it analyses the Chilean university situation after 2011. The analysis is supported by data, displaying the urgent requirement to improve the university system administration.
