Does interculturality exist in the legal pedagogy practiced at the Coquimbo School of Law of the Universidad Católica del Norte (UCN), especially among its faculty? Interculturality is a principle that has been gradually incorporated into Latin American Comparative Law and, slowly, has also entered Chile. Initially closely related to education but also to other areas such as the legal field. That’s why it’s important to question its role in legal pedagogy, analyzing the experience of faculty in an intercultural perspective,
and determining the milestones that could allow the incorporation of interculturality into the law degree program. To achieve these objectives, a study has been conducted with descriptive statistics and critical qualitative analysis of faculty at this institution. The results point to a recognition of interculturality with an incipient promotion in
development, limited by the role of interculturality in disciplinary subjects and its role in certain university spaces.
