The objective of this article is to contribute to the teaching of university legal research through the proposal of pedagogical tools that allow the professor to teach this subject, considering its features and the needs of the students. This paper presents basic thematic content for the course and comments good practices implemented by the authors in their teaching experience in research are discussed. This article argues that the teaching of legal research must be articulated and contextualized to adopt a comprehensive approach that includes professor and students’ needs.
