The teaching of law in Paraguay: Critical foundations for an evolution

Abstract

The inquiry invites us to analyze the factors that influence the transformation of legal education, replacing the form that it currently develops, offering alternatives of metamorphosis, adjusting the learning procedures to new coordinates, complemented by the philosophical theoretical innovation necessary for an effective mutation. In this time of change, it is no longer possible to continue on outdated flying buttresses, but as a result of the irruption of the advantages of cooperation, solidarity, technology and ecological and environmental care, the educational change must adjust its parameters to form conscious individuals who overcome the frameworks of the past. The ambition is to forge an individual involved with humanism, with the teaching, learning and evaluation process in accordance with the postulates of the present, where classes are taught based on a rational mixture of master classes combined with the case method. Methodologically, it responds to a study of current art, taking as sources the current doctrine and the analysis of the current realities of the teaching of law in Paraguay. At the end, important reasons have been detected that justify innovation to achieve a better educational mechanism.
