Abstract

This review analyzes the book “Elaboración y dirección de un Trabajo Final de Grado en Ciencias Sociales: desde la gestación de la idea hasta su publicación”, by Paulina Meza, Fernando Lillo-Fuentes, and Erlantz Velasco. The work offers a comprehensive overview of the process of developing and supervising undergraduate theses in Law, Psychology, and Education, addressing both the students’ responsibilities and those of supervisors or tutors. It highlights its contributions regarding originality, knowledge appropriation, formulation of objectives, integration of both the author’s and others’ voices, as well as academic guidance and feedback. Finally, the book’s practical utility and potential as a reference text for undergraduate research training are acknowledged.

Author Biographies

Maribel Veas Alfaro, Universidad de La Serena

Maribel Lourdes Veas Alfaro holds a Master of Laws degree, specializing in Tax Law, from the University of Chile. She is also a lawyer and holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the Catholic University of the North. She is a professor in the Department of Legal Sciences and Director of the Law School at the University of La Serena, where she teaches undergraduate courses and conducts research in tax law and legal education. Israel González Marino, Universidad Central de Chile

Israel González Marino holds a Master's degree in Animal Law and Society from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and a Master's degree in Curriculum Development and Educational Projects from Andrés Bello University. He is also a lawyer, holding a Bachelor of Laws degree from the Catholic University of the North. He is an academic and Research Coordinator at the Faculty of Law and Humanities of the Central University of Chile, Coquimbo Region, where he teaches undergraduate courses and conducts research on topics related to animal law and legal education.
